Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones, known mononymously as Nas, is a renowned American rapper, entrepreneur, and record producer. Nas grew up in a musical family and was heavily influenced by his father, Olu Dara, a jazz musician. Nas began his musical journey in 1989 under the moniker 'Nasty Nas' and made his recording debut on Main Source's 1991 song 'Live at the Barbeque'.
